The Bantam Tools EggBot™ runs completely on its own, untethered from a computer with a built-in MicroSD card slot and bright OLED screen. Prepare your designs in Bantam Tools Studio™, load them onto a card, and start creating ornaments up to 100 mm in diameter without connecting a computer.

Compact and portable enough to bring to family gatherings, classrooms, or holiday markets, the Bantam Tools EggBot delivers the magic of spherical plotting to your family and community.

The movements are driven by precision stepper motors that deliver accurate, repeatable motion. For pen lifting, the EggBot uses a premium coreless servo, a modern improvement over traditional hobby servos. This upgrade provides smoother, faster, and quieter motion with less wear over time, ensuring both precision and long-term reliability.

The integrated onboard controller reads G-code instructions with microstepping control, achieving fine resolution and accurate curves. Each revolution of the motor is subdivided into thousands of microsteps, allowing the pen to move with subtlety and fluidly. Is it just for ornaments?

How big of an object can you draw on?

The Bantam Tools EggBot works with ornaments and other spherical objects up to 98 mm (about 4 inches) in diameter.

What do I need to run the EggBot Ornament Edition?

You’ll need a standard power outlet and a flat surface to set it on. The Ornament Edition runs untethered with an micro SD card and onboard controls. To make custom designs, you’ll need a Mac or PC with Bantam Tools Studio™ installed to prepare SVG artwork.

Ultra-fine point Sharpies are the classic choice, but most pens and markers that fit the included pen holder will work. This makes it easy to create with the supplies you already have at home.

Can I decorate in multiple colors?

Yes. Bantam Tools Studio automatically detects the colors in your .SVG file. Run your first layer, then the OLED screen will prompt you for the next pen color to insert.

Do I need to program it?

No programming is required. Just prepare your .SVG design in Bantam Tools Studio™, export it to a micro SD card, and the EggBot will handle the rest.
