Mechanical Assembler

Bantam Tools is a Peekskill, NY-based hardware and software company. We build exceptional computer controlled machines for innovators. We’re thrilled to be adding more members to our growing assembly team. We are currently looking to fill full-time and part-time positions

Compensation is $17/hr

Full-time positions include employer paid health benefits, accrued PTO, and paid holidays off. Work hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.

Part-time positions include accrued PTO, and paid holidays off. Flexible schedule within 8am-5pm framework

Qualifications:

• ●  Love of tinkering, building, sewing, knitting or woodworking

• ●  Capable of working with hand tools and measurement equipment

• ●  Past experience with hands-on detail-oriented work a plus, but not required

• ●  A desire to learn

Job Responsibilities:

As a mechanical assembler, your job is to assemble our Desktop CNC Milling Machines and NextDraw drawing machines. You'll start by checking each part for quality and making sure any defective parts are handled correctly. You might work on different stages of assembly, from putting together smaller parts to assembling the main components, testing, and documenting. We're looking for someone eager to learn about manufacturing, comfortable using hand tools and measuring equipment, and who enjoys working with technology and in a team.
