TIPS FOR BEING PRODUCTIVE AT HOME
Scheduling. Schedule everything that you need to do throughout the day and the week on your calendar. Both Mohit and Sophy plan out their workdays and dedicate specific blocks of time to their projects.
Setting boundaries. It can be easy to work late into the evening when working remotely. It’s important to structure your day so that you maintain a healthy work-life balance. A good way to keep yourself honest about how many hours you’re working is to put it on your schedule!
Minimize distractions. Put your phone and computer (if you can) away when you’re machining, 3D-printing, soldering, etc.. Give your projects your undivided attention. When you’re working online that can be difficult, but setting up block periods when you work and then periods when you check email, social media, etc. can help you optimize production.
Listen to music. Both Mohit and Sophy have found that listening to music like Low-Fi Beats on Spotify helps to deepen their focus.
